The right honourable speaker of parliament, Prof. Aaron Michael Ocquaye, has made a call for the establishment of a library to support the work of the house.
In addressing a press Corp on Monday, He cited the importance of libraries in the work of Congress and House of Commons in the USA and Britain respectively. He bemoans the institutional loss which is affecting the house as a result of inadequate records to support the house’s works and urged the public to support parliament for it to serve them.
The minority leader, honourable Haruna Iddrisu, on his part assured the speaker of the minority’s support in all endeavors especially matters of corruption.
The deputy majority leader, honourable Adjoa Sarfo, congratulated the speaker for the initiatives he has begun so far upon assumption of office.
At this press briefing, other issues such as members of parliament introducing their bills were highlighted.
